AJ+C与国际著名的多重领域工程顾问公司Kellogg Brown and Root (KBR) 共同获得北京2008年奥运青岛帆船基地国际竞标结果的最高分。
设计任务书中重视的不仅为帆船基地的基本设施，更要求项目与周边地区的协调性。因此总体规划中包括了一系列配套设施的设计如：住宅楼、奥运村、五星级酒店、商业大楼、国际会议中心、海外游客站及海运博物馆。
AJ+C的设计协调了东面的草木区与南面的海滩；将富有现代感的帆船基地放置西边和北边的海滩。大自然与人工智能的和谐在东南面的原始森林，西面繁华、现代的海运博物馆之间完美得体现。
AJ+C and international multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy Kellogg Brown and Root (KBR) were jointly awarded the highest score in an international competition for the design of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Sailing Base in Qingdao.
The brief envisaged more than the usual sailing base facility, expanding in scope to embrace the surrounding precinct of Qingdao. This involved the master planning and initial design of numerous residential buildings, an Olympic village, a five-star hotel, commercial office towers, international convention centre, overseas passenger terminal and maritime museum. .
AJ+C’s design for Qingdao balances the creation of wooded parkland on the eastern and southern foreshores, with the architectural modernity of the sailing base on the northern and western foreshores.
