该酒店位于安徽省的太平湖河岸，内部设有250床位，其特点是奢华而带有传统文化色彩，酒店还有独特的能源节省运作设备。
该五星级酒店内的设施包括会议中心、俱乐部、餐饮、康乐中心，室内游泳池，水上运动设施及商业部分。 太平湖位于安徽省，省内有多处受世界级保护的文物古迹例如红村、黄山等，均被联合国教科文组织公认。AJ+C 在设计过程中对安徽的文化背景、植被、地质和当地的居民进行研究与探索，从中取得设计灵感。酒店的形态间接借用了安徽灰派建筑的特征，如当地的石材、木材等均被运用其中，营造了熟悉的景象。
另一个重要的目标是将环境可持续的设计理念与地温技术结合。将湖水聚集作为恒温池可达到空调设施的效果（冬暖夏凉），因此可减低对工业燃料的使用。
Luxury, local heritage and energy-saving technology converge in this 250-bed resort, located on the shores of Taiping Lake, west of Shanghai.
The 5-star resort hotel includes conference and club facilities, restaurants, a health spa, indoor swimming pool, water sport facilities and a retail component.
Tai Ping Lake resides in An Hoi province, where several world heritage sites are approved by UNESCO, including nearby villages and Huangshan Mountain. AJ+C design absorbed the area, drawing on local knowledge, vegetation, geology and people for inspiration. The form alludes to the character of Anhui buildings, and the use of local stone and timber contributes to a sense of familiarity.
